SALT LAKE CITY (Good Things Utah) – A happy empty nest takes preparation. Karla Olson, the author of ‘The Almost Empty Nester,’ says, “My book is completely unique in that it is not like other Empty Nesting books. Most Empty Nesting books focus on becoming a better partner or wife or how to help mothers connect with their adult children. My book is specifically for mothers to do some soul keeping, I call it -and to really check back in with themselves and define what they want for their next chapter in life. I want mothers to fall in love with this next chapter. In my book we talked about limiting beliefs, listening to your inner compass versus your inner critic, and believing that your empty nest can be one of your best chapters in your life.”
There were 22 million empty-nesters in the U.S. alone and research shows many report feeling lost and lonely. Karla is working to elevate the conversation around empty nesting and creating joy.
