Welcome to The Empty Nester Club! I am absolutely thrilled that you have found your way to my story. My name is Karla Raby Olson and I am a mother of three. As my children started to leave the nest, I experienced a profound disruption in the rhythm of my life. It forced me to pause and reflect on who I had become as an individual. For the past two decades, my focus had centered entirely on my family, and I hadn’t taken the time to consider my own dreams and aspirations. Realizing that countless women were going through the same transition, I embarked on a journey to redefine my next chapter.
I am here to change the conversation around Empty Nesting, to acknowledge the challenges and opportunities it presents, and to offer support and inspiration as you navigate this new phase of life. I see you, and I am wholeheartedly grateful that you have joined me on this transformative path. Together, let’s embrace the possibilities and make the most of this incredible chapter in our lives.

Karla Raby Olson is an author, speaker, and former co-host of the Park City Pulse TV show. She is a founding member of Lionsheart Park City, Little Miracles Utah non-profit, and her favorite “title,” is Mom to 3 daughters. Karla is an expert on preparing for life after kids and founded The Empty Nester Club to help other parents make the most of this new chapter in their lives. Karla’s passion for empowering others is evident in her many roles within the community she serves. She continually strives to make a lasting difference in the lives of those around her, making everyone feel seen, heard, and inspired. Her one-of-a-kind strategy for helping parents rediscover their passions and prepare ahead for their children leaving the nest is featured in her upcoming book,
“The Almost Empty Nester,” due out in 2025!

Seeking that ridiculous pinnacle of perfection for women that was created eons ago (most likely by men). Forget being everything to everyone and losing yourself in the process. No thanks.
what I
believe
Life is hard and amazing, and it's a long, wild journey. Along the way I've learned that if we didn't experience the deep pain and hard parts, we wouldn't be able to revel in the joy and bliss that life also gifts us with. Oh, and kindness always, always wins.
